Other Natural Stone
Marble, Limestone, Natural Quartizite
Marble is a metamorphic rock formed when limestone is exposed to heat and high pressure. Although every bit as beautiful as granite, marble is a much softer material, therefore we would not recommend its use as a kitchen worktop. Marble is a popular choice for bathroom vanity tops, flooring and wall cladding.
Limestone is a sedimentary rock made of shell fragments and tiny fossils, again Limestone is softer than granite but is commonly used in bathrooms.
Quartzite is a metamorphic rock formed when sandstone is exposed to high temperature and pressure. Quartzite has a very similar look to marble but is almost as durable as Granite making it a good alternative as a natural worktop.
